Among other functions, cookies allow you to enter your password less frequently during a session. Cookies can also help us provide information which is targeted to your interests. Cookies are stored on your hard drive, not on our site. Most cookies are "session cookies," meaning that they are automatically deleted at the end of a session. If you choose to post messages on our bulletin boards or leave feedback for other users you must submit the registration information. We collect the information in order to allow us to keep track of exactly who posts messages or feedback. If you send us personal correspondences, such as e-mails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on the site, we may collect such information into a file specific to you. There may be other forms and sources of information we collect about you, depending on how you use the site. 3. Our Use of Your Information We internally use personally identifiable information to improve our services, to statistically analyze site usage, to improve our content and to customize our site’s content and layout. We offer features on our site where we will, by necessity, need to provide some of your information to the third party offering such goods or services. Before you use the service you should evaluate whether you will accept the terms and conditions of the third party service. We are not responsible for how such third parties collect and use your information. Unfortunately, due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personally identifiable information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy. By way of example (without limiting the foregoing), we may be forced to disclose information to the government or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access transmissions or private communications. Further, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate. Therefore, although we use industry standard practices to protect your privacy, we do not promise, and you should not expect, that your personally identifiable information or private communications will always remain private. 5. Control of Your Password You may not disclose your password to any third parties or share it with any third parties. If, despite the foregoing, you lose control of your password, you may lose substantial control over your personally identifiable information and may be subject to legally binding actions taken on your behalf. Therefore, if your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password as detailed below. 6. Once posted, you cannot change or remove any Artwork or any other public postings made on our site. Upon your request, we will remove your credit card number and credit card expiration date from our databases. To make this request, e-mail us at Webmaster@Debshops.com or notify us through mail by sending your request to Webmaster Deb Shops Inc. 9401 Blue Grass Road Philadelphia, PA 19114 We will retain in our files some information that you have requested us to remove. We retain this information for very limited purposes, such as to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems and enforce our Website Use Agreement. Further, such prior information is never completely removed from our databases due to technical constraints and the fact that we back up our systems. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personally identifiable information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your requests. Please promptly update your information if it changes. 7. Third Party Collectors of Information Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, whether they are other users, merchants or advertisers on our system or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. To the extent that we use third party merchants and advertisers, they adhere to their own privacy customs and policies. Since we do not control the privacy policies of third parties, you are subject to the privacy customs and policies of that third party. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others. 8. Security We use industry standard efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, such as firewalls and Secure Socket Layers. When you place an order, access your account information or send us personally identifying data, that information moves in to a secure server. This security device encrypts all information you input before sending it, protecting your information from unauthorized access. However, "perfect security" does not exist on the Internet. 9. A Note To Parents and Children 13 and Younger Except as provided below, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children 13 years old or younger without prior verifiable parental consent. Before a user who is 13 years or younger is allowed to complete this registration process we ask that they provide us with their parent's e-mail address and phone number. This is the minimum information necessary to allow us to properly receive parental consent in the manner provided below. Once we obtain parental consent, a child will be asked to submit information at different areas of our site, as outlined above, and that information is used just as all the information we collect is used, see paragraphs 2 and 3. Parents may revoke their consent at any time and refuse to allow further collection or use of their child’s information. Further, parents may review and have us delete any information submitted by their child. We are prohibited from conditioning a child’s participation in an activity on the child’s disclosing more personal information than is reasonably necessary. It is possible that we will collect a child’s name and e-mail address for purposes of entering a child in a contest or similar promotional activity. However, in any such situation, we would also collect the parent’s e-mail address so that we could notify the parent of the child’s entry in the contest. The information collected in these cases would be used only for purposes of the particular contest and will be deleted when the particular promotion is completed. Similarly, we would collect information and would contact the parent in the event that a child subscribes to our on-line newsletter. In either case, the parent has the right to have their child’s information deleted from our database and prevent us from contacting their child in the future. Finally, we may collect a child’s e-mail address in order to allow us to respond to a one-time request from your child. The child’s information is deleted after we respond to this one-time request. In the event that there is a material change in the collection, use or disclosure policy we will send the parent an e-mail message alerting them of this change and requesting their consent to continue to collect their child’s information. 10. Obtaining Parental Consent In order to obtain parental consent, we will ask a child for their parent’s e-mail address and phone number. If the parent has an e-mail address, we will ask for parental consent to collect the child’s information via an e-mail message, along with a follow-up message or telephone call to confirm that the parent in fact did consent to collection of their child’s information. If the parent does not have an e-mail address, we will obtain parental consent by calling the parent on the telephone, following the child’s attempt to submit information to us. 11.
